Job Description
The Group Head is to articulate and develop strategies that will provide direction for the bank’s private banking activities and ensure a world class private banking group that exceeds customers expectations.
Requirement(s)
Roles and Responsibilities: Manage and Maintain existing client relationships and identify / establish new ones Handle a whole range of strategic planning and infrastructure issues, including analyzing and defining goals and targets and developing presentations that address the business and strategic direction of the entire Group Employ best practices in providing guidance and supervision to the activities of the HNI and Personal banking Units and review the plans of the each unit to ensure that they are aligned to the overall strategy and objectives Prepare reports for regulatory authorities and management Oversee the development of products, brochures & selling Documents for private banking clients Implement customer management framework for private banking customers Identify market opportunities, potential Hubs and customer needs in order to proactively provide value adding products/ services that meet their anticipated needs Ensure that a comprehensive database of information for both prospects and existing customer is maintained Manage and Maintain excellent relationships with asset managers within the bank & alliance with third parties Ensure that market research on the Private banking and wealth management business is carried regularly Ensure that set / defined goals and targets are achieved Monitor and evaluate performance of the unit Heads. Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Head, Retail Banking Key Performance Indicators: Growth in profit and net earnings Net interest margin Yield on investment Quality and performance of client’s accounts Quality and adequacy of financial advice provided to clients Adequacy of pricing, matching and diversification Revenue growth Operating expenses Maximum client satisfaction levels and timely communication Minimize portfolio risk Skills / Competency Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent client relationship development/management Good negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution A deep understanding of alternative investment strategies A deep Knowledge of capital markets, alternative investments & asset management products Environmental / Industry analysis Financial Analysis / Interpretation Banking Operations ( Domestic & International Operations) Investment Portfolio Management Money Market Trading Marketing Presentations Strong strategic orientation Supervisory Skills: Leadership / Supervisory Team building / conflict management Organization & coordination Generic Skills: Interpersonal skills Computer appreciation / data entry (word- processing/spreadsheet/graphics) Communication (written and oral) TQM Professional Requirements: Qualification First degree in any Business related discipline Masters in Business Administration, Economics or Banking & Finance Other professional qualification 10 - 12 years relevant experience; at least 5 of which must have been at a Senior Management position with experience in the marketing of financial services, product development and/or private banking and portfolio/asset management.
