Job Description
A Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer, also known as a Safety Officer or HSE Coordinator, is a professional responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures within an organization. The primary focus is on creating a safe and healthy work environment for employees while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirement(s)
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and update health, safety, and environ mental policies and procedures. Conduct safety training sessions for employees to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential workplace emergencies. Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify and address potential hazards. Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations. Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate PPE by employees. Collaborate with management to integrate HSE considerations into business operations. Qualifications: Clear communication skills to convey safety protocols and procedures to employee Must have a First Degree in Health & Safety, A Professional HSE certificate 5 years working experiences. Ability to identify safety issues and implement effective solutions. Thoroughness in conducting safety inspections and investigations. Analytical mindset to assess risk and safety performance data. Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization. Understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Training and experience in emergency response and evacuation procedures. Effective organization of safety training sessions, inspections, and records. Flexibility to adapt to changes in safety regulations or organizational needs. Leadership skills to influence and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
