Job Description

Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Monitoring crop health and implementing pest and disease control measures. Applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed. Feeding and caring for livestock. Monitoring animal health and administering vaccinations and treatments. Managing breeding programs and ensuring proper care for newborn animals. Maintaining farm equipment and machinery. Repairing fences, buildings, and other structures. Ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of farm facilities. Optimizing resource use. Setting up and managing irrigation systems. Monitoring soil moisture levels and adjusting irrigation schedules accordingly. Keeping detailed records of planting and harvesting schedules. Tracking input usage (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides) and costs. Recording livestock health, breeding, and production data. Implementing sustainable farming practices. Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Exploring new methods to improve farm sustainability and efficiency. Assisting with farm planning and development projects. Participating in farm-related community activities and events. Staying updated with the latest agricultural trends and technologies. Farmer must be willing to relocate to the farm. Accomodation and supplies will be provided. Farmer will report to Farm supervisor who also lives on-site for daily instruction/tasks. Farm is made up of Cocoa, Cocunut, Palm Fruit, plus a variety of vegetables and fruit crops. Pay is calculated at GHC40 per day and paid bi-weekly plus bonuses and benefits. Benefits begin after 3 month probationary period Thursdays off, Must work weekends. Minimum of working 5 days a week, assigned 4 personal days a month.
