Job Description
An agri-processing company in Central Region, Ghana requires an experienced OPERATIONS MANAGER to manage day to day operations. This role is for a professional self-starter who takes pride in his/her work and achievements. This is an ideal position for an “all-rounder” methodical, systems, action and results – oriented individual with good problem solving skills to grow with this young company.
Requirement(s)
Plan and Manage day to day operation of security, sourcing, machine operating, drying / platform teams in line with own KPIs and Deliverables and the company’s production targets. Facility Management – develop and implement systems and procedures to manage on site sanitation, water, recycling waste management, greenhouse, grounds management and pest management in organic certified facilities. Ensure all areas are clean, free of contamination and hazards in line with organic certification. Produce finished products in line weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets. This includes Planning and Managing day to day shift activities of the teams at the processing site. Maintenance – keeping facility equipment running through scheduled inspections and repairs and cleaning. Production Dotted Line relationship with Field Officer / ICS Team training of farmers in Organic and UEBT Standards Certification Dotted Line relationship with Field Officer supervising GPS mapping of UEBT / Organic farms Certification Fleet Management – Repair & Maintenance of transport vehicles, log book, chain of custody. Develop and set up systems and standard operating procedures to improve operations and mitigate risks. Lead on Quality Control of production in line with company’s quality parameters. Includes PROACTIVE and methodical record keeping of testing and tweaking of production techniques (to achieve moisture, microbiology and pesticide parameters). Supply Chain Management – oversee sourcing and inflow of raw materials to ensure product flow, manage supplier relationships, production of finished product,
