Job Description
A well established company is currently recruiting for a Draughtsman in Ghana Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and designs for a range of projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to translate conceptual designs into clear, precise, and executable drawings.
Requirement(s)
Minimum Requirements: 5 + years of proven experience as a Draughtsman or in a similar role (preferably in [industry e.g., construction, engineering, architecture, etc.]). Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools). Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, building codes, and standards. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues. [Optional: Degree/Diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.] Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Knowledge of 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, SketchUp) is a plus. Familiarity with [industry-specific software/tools] is an advantage. A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed technical drawings based on specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions from engineers. Create and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings (AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software). Ensure that all designs and plans adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations. Review and check technical drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with technical managers, project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure designs meet project needs and timelines. Modify and revise designs based on feedback from team members and clients. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Attend project meetings as required to understand project goals and contribute to the development process. Assist in the preparation of design proposals and presentations for clients. Ensure all drawings are properly archived and stored for future reference.
