Job Description

• Supervise staff of the Accounts Department to record and provide accurate accounting information and data on the company's financial transactions within the framework of the policies and work procedures of the company Principal Accountabilities • Supervise Accounts receivable activities and ensure proper revenue accounting and reconciliation of customer accounts sales ledgers • Supervise Accounts Payable activities ensuring timely preparation of vendor statements as well as monthly payable ledger reconciliation • Set up and update new vendor and customer details is ACCPAC and bank portals • Supervise treasury activities ensuring timely reconciliation of bank statements and assist Head of Department in weekly cash flow monitoring • Prepare payroll and related deductions for payment • Process employee loans for payment and ensure input in payroll for deductions • Liaise with relevant external agencies and organisations such as GRA (submission and payment draft annual statutory return etc) and Banks (Bank Reconciliations, etc) • Prepare draft annual statutory accounts for external auditors • Assist with information for external and internal audits

Requirement(s)

• CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience OR • University Degree in Accounting with 8 years of post-qualification experience at a Senior Level • A seasoned high professional with excellent analytical thinking, people leadership, team building, organizational and IT skills • A working knowledge of ACCPAC Accounting software will be an advantage • Must be a person f high verifiable moral character and proven integrity • Knowledge in quality, occupational health & safety and environment ISO Management systems will be an advantage
