AC Technician (Plastic Manufacturing Industry)
Job Description
1. Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems in the factory. Conduct routine servicing of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to ensure efficiency and longevity. Inspect and clean air ducts, filters, coils, and compressors to maintain system performance. 2. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and fix faults in AC and refrigeration systems, including leaks, electrical issues, and mechanical failures. Replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, thermostats, and sensors. Ensure proper refrigerant levels and recharge when necessary. 3. Temperature & Humidity Control: Monitor and regulate temperature in production areas to prevent damage to plastic materials and machinery. Maintain cooling systems for plastic molding machines, extruders, and other heat-generating equipment. Ensure proper ventilation to enhance air quality and worker comfort. 4. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all HVAC and cooling systems. Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Identify potential issues and recommend improvements to optimize energy efficiency. 5. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies and HVAC industry standards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper handling procedures for refrigerants. Ensure compliance with environmental and energy efficiency regulations. 6. General Duties: Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to address cooling and ventilation needs. Assist in upgrading and modifying air conditioning systems for improved performance. Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
Requirement(s)
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2years of experience as an AC Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Skills: Strong knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with compressors, condensers, evaporators, and thermostats. Understanding of temperature control in industrial environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
