Job Description
The Sales Manager is to work with the vision of company to be a leading wholesale and manufacturing pharmaceutical company in Ghana, and to plan, develop, and oversee all sales and marketing activities. He/she will undertake market research to understand national trends and customer preferences in the pharmaceutical sector and create a company marketing strategy and budgets. The successful also oversees the creation of marketing materials and content and performs all other relevant tasks essential for increasing the business’s sales

Responsibilities Develop the company medium-term strategic marketing plan and budgets, and oversee its successful implementation and execution Derive the sales function of the company business model by ensuring that each sales rep achieves his/her monthly target Ensure an exponential growth of sales levels in every quarter Lead the successful design and execution of all the company's marketing and communications products, demonstrating robust insight and professional expertise for the long-term financial growth, sustainability, and impact of the company Lead in the production of dynamic content for the company's online, offline, BTL and ATL presence, ensuring that these appeal to existing and potential clients; and designing these to achieve maximum market share and help penetrate the market. Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the marketing function of the company, driving and motivating the sales team to achieve the company's strategic and operational objectives Build strong strategic relationships and partnerships with key industry players, agencies and vendors in the pharmaceutical sector Demonstrate thought leadership by writing articles for medical/pharmaceutical journals magazines, attending and speaking at conferences Research and analyze market trends and competitors, evaluating and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of competitive products and developing comparative statistics and metrics Take leadership of the performance management and evaluation of the strategic marketing plan, including but not limited to assessing the marketing unit’s performance vis-à-vis strategic and business goals Promote new products to healthcare service providers Provide hands-on support through fieldwork with the sales and marketing team, traveling widely with the sales and marketing team all across Ghana or in the assigned geographical region Keep abreast of and with pharmaceutical advertising-specific requirements and guidelines. Requirements: Experience in commercial pharmaceuticals is a must. At least 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function Any graduate and Marketing diploma is preferred. At least 7 years of Sales & Marketing experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Minimum five years experience in a managerial capacity Strong ability to collaborate well with other departments to accomplish the targets. Demonstrated and proven sales results Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint Able to travel national wise Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Marketing from a recognized University Good communication competency with all staffing levels.
