Mechanical Engineer Product Design
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer – Product Design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical and structural products from concept to production/fabrication. This role requires expertise in CAD modeling, material selection, prototyping, fabrication and testing to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities: Product Design & Development Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Fusion 360). Concept to Production Take ideas from sketches and prototypes to manufacturing-ready designs. Engineering Analysis Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis using FEA, CFD, and hand calculations. Material and Manufacturing Selection Choose appropriate materials and processes (e.g., machining, 3D printing, fabrication). Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs based on test results. Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, software engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers) to optimize product performance. Documentation and Compliance Create and maintain engineering drawings, bill of materials, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.). Cost and Quality Optimization Ensure designs are cost-efficient, durable, and meet quality standards. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement design improvements and innovation opportunities.
