Job Description
The sources of the recommendation and its repetition across reports from national, regional, and international missions; The status of the recommendation: New recommendations or those previously made in earlier electoral cycles; The potential benefits or issues that will be addressed by implementing the recommendation; The stages of the electoral process to which the recommendation applies; The decision-makers, the process, and the minimum time required for the implementation of the recommendation in the country's context; An initial report outlining their understanding of the expected work, including a draft plan and detailed schedule for conducting the consultation; A draft of the compendium in accordance with the specific objectives outlined for this consultation; A finalized compendium after considering inputs and addressing feedback from various reviewers. A Master's or Doctorate in a relevant field (Political Science, Social Sciences, International Relations, and other related fields); At least 5 years of experience in the field of election management, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding; Excellent command of French or English (spoken, written, and read), depending on the official language of the country.
Requirement(s)
The main objective of the consultation is to “draft a compendium of recommendations from the various electoral monitoring and observation missions that covered the elections targeted by this consultation.” Specifically, it will involve: a) Mobilizing, processing, and analyzing all the recommendations made by the various monitoring and observation missions that covered the elections targeted by this consultation. b) Drafting a structured compendium that presents, in order of importance, all the recommendations made by the various relevant observation missions, highlighting, among other things: The sources of the recommendation and its repetition across reports from national, regional, and international missions; The status of the recommendation: New recommendations or those previously made in earlier electoral cycles; The potential benefits or issues that will be addressed by implementing the recommendation; The stages of the electoral process to which the recommendation applies; The decision-makers, the process, and the minimum time required for the implementation of the recommendation in the country's context; c) Suggest initiatives for monitoring and implementing the various recommendations.
