Job Description
evelop, implement, and continuously improve safety management systems and operational procedures in compliance with national regulations and company policies. Lead safety training programs to enhance employee awareness, emergency preparedness, and compliance with safety protocols. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with Ghanaian occupational health and safety laws, as well as international HSE standards. Manage the procurement, inspection, and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure full functionality and compliance. Provide regular safety performance reports to senior management, analyzing trends and recommending improvements. Collaborate with department heads and leadership to integrate safety measures into daily operations and strategic planning. Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely documentation, reporting, and compliance with all safety-related requirements. Foster a safety-first culture, encouraging proactive employee engagement in workplace safety initiatives.
Requirement(s)
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent safety certification. Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong understanding of risk management, hazard identification, and accident prevention strategies. Proven experience in safety audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory liaison. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and influence employees at all levels to adhere to safety protocols.
