Director Security Operations - Diplomatic Mission
Job Description
Maintain situational awareness of the local security environment and establish relationships with relevant security contacts. Assist in security operations planning and execution in line with global security frameworks. Prepare risk assessments, contingency plans, and standard operating procedures. Conduct security research, analysis, and briefings for staff and visitors. Oversee the management of external security teams and ensure contract deliverables are met. Ensure the maintenance of security-related equipment and liaise with service providers for repairs and upgrades. Provide weekly security reports, including incident summaries and upcoming risk assessments.
Requirement(s)
Extensive knowledge of the security environment in Accra and Ghana. Experience in security planning, crisis management, and emergency response. Proven ability to manage security infrastructure and liaise with contract providers and government authorities. Technical knowledge of security systems and equipment is highly desirable. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other security-related systems. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is an advantage. At least 5 years of security experience, preferably in a diplomatic mission or similar setting. Ghanaian nationals or long-term residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
