Job Description

JOB GRADE: JUNIOR OFFICER LINE MANAGER: OPERATIONS MANAGER Purpose Statement: Ensure consistent and timely loading of products Maintain up-to-the-minute reports on quality and quantity of products. Maintains a good relationship with key personnel at the depot to ensure the company’s orders are serviced in a timely manner. Key Deliverables Process customers’ orders based on approved product supply authorisations (PSAs) Co-ordinate truck loading and scheduling Daily update on occurrences at the loading depots Provide constant updates throughout the day on any challenges on loadings. Prepare and submit at the end of each working day, a daily delivery report to Head Office accompanied by the relevant documents e.g. depot waybills. Co-ordinate product dispatches from ship to tank and ensure correct quantity is received and all relevant documentation is completed. (no losses should be recorded) Attend to operational issues that may arise at all loading depots or product supply location. Co-ordinate with marketing and operation staff in the office Prepare reports and analysis on product liftings and stock levels as per periodic frequency requested. Report to Head Office on all relevant issues connected to the depot/supply location. Attend meetings with Regulatory Officials and Depot Operators connected with the operations of the Depot or Supply location. Gather market intelligence to aid in operational efficiency Manage and maintain relationship with depot reps and OMC liaison officers Assist in detaining trucks at the depots pending financial clearance Working Relationships Liaison officers of OMCs Enthusiasm and commitment are essential to complete activities. A flexible approach to meet changing needs and deadlines. Network or relationship with key depot personnel and transporters.

Requirement(s)

SHS/HND holder with 2 years’ experience in a logistics company, depot / warehousing, preferably from oil industry Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Depot / Warehousing, preferably from the Oil Industry. Ability to drive and possession of a valid Driver’s license is a plus. Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize. Personality Traits: Enthusiasm and commitment are essential to complete activities. A flexible approach to meet changing needs and deadlines. Network or relationship with key depot personnel and transporters. Must be reliable. Self-motivated and a good team player. Excellent attention to details.
