RISK & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Risk & Compliance Officer located in Accra. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring company risks. This includes having a deep understanding of risk management techniques, audit processes, and legal guidelines within the industry. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining operational integrity and protecting the company's reputation through proactive risk mitigation and compliance management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all departments are in compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements. Ensure organization maintains adequate operational risk Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and procedures. Identify and evaluate risks and compliance issues within the organization. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Prepare reports detailing the risk areas and providing risk mitigation recommendations. Assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance programs Provide training to employees about the latest risk management and compliance protocols. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory norms and laws that apply to the business. Work with other departments to create a culture of compliance within the organization.
Requirement(s)
Proven experience as a Risk and Compliance Officer or similar role. Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML). Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
