HR Advisor at Tony Blair Institute for Global Change
Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a HR Advisor to support our teams in countries across West and Central Africa. The role will report to the People Business Partner - West & Central Africa. This is a critical role working closely with the West & Central Africa leaders and the rest of the People Operations colleagues in Africa to support in the delivery of the Institute's talent strategy, be instrumental in the growth of the Institute, and support teams on a day-to-day basis. We are seeking a talented candidate with significant HR experience across international, complex and fast-paced organisations. The role forms part of TBI Africa's Operations Division supports and helps pave the way for the Institute to deliver its mission. We are comprised of People Operations, Legal Operations, Finance Operations, Digital Operations and Security, Technical and Resilience Operations Teams. The Division develops and delivers policies and processes that drive our working practices, mirror our values, and which are aligned with our strategic objectives. We ensure that our organizational capabilities equip us to meet current and future challenges and work closely with all parts of the Institute to ensure that its objectives are successfully met.
Requirement(s)
Strong organisational and time management skills and experience of managing and prioritising workload Able to manage conflicting demands and an ability to prioritise accordingly Can demonstrate discretion and respect for confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information or personal matters Understanding of West & Central Africa employment law and the role of a modern People Team function Experience of administration or record management with a desire to get it right Familiarity with Microsoft programmes and intermediate competency in MS Office suite. Some knowledge of international employment law advantageous Full understanding of HR functions and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Degree in Human Resources and relevant professional qualification.
