Restaurant Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction. Recruit, train, schedule, and manage front-of-house staff. Foster a positive work environment through leadership, motivation, and team development. Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor dining area for cleanliness, ambiance, and proper service flow. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and high food quality. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure cost-efficiency. Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives. Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures. Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality products. Drive revenue by identifying opportunities for promotions, events, and service improvements.
Requirement(s)
Qualifications: Proven experience (5+ years) as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth understanding of restaurant operations, customer service, and staff management. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, labour laws, and hospitality best practices. Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic financial reporting. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Exceptional problem-solving, multitasking, and decision-making abilities. High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality management or business is a plus.
