Job Description

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing construction and infrastructure projects within the University of Ghana, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and timely completion of projects. • The role requires technical expertise in construction management, site management, and quality control. Requirement(s)

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field in the built environment. • Professional certification in Construction Technology Management (IET-GH or GHIE). • Minimum of 3 years of experience in site engineering, construction supervision, and • Experience in overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in an academic or institutional setting. • A Master’s Degree in Construction Technology Management would be an added advantage. Required abilities and skills: • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, material testing, and quality assurance. • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit. • Ability to interpret drawings and resolve on-site challenges effectively. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. • High-level of integrity and commitment to professional ethics. • Applicants must have served a minimum of two years in a Senior Staff role at the University of Ghana, and must be able to serve a minimum of 4 years in the role before reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60 years.
